Clarendon Square is offering a different experience for mums this weekend
Clarendon Square Shopping Centre is inviting young children and their mums for a free ‘makeover’ with a twist as part of a Mother’s Day event and competition.
On Saturday, 10 March, mums can gain a whole new look at pampering stations on the mall – from 11am to 4pm – where a team of beauty assistants will be on hand for the transformations. However, the makeovers will be given by their very own children.
Little shoppers will have access to a host of beautifying treatments and accessories, which will allow them to say ‘thank you’ to their (brave) mums in their own special, creative way. Those game for a laugh won’t have to leave the centre red faced, as the beauty team will have plenty of makeup removal supplies.
Made-over mums are being asked to share a photo from the day on the shopping centre’s Facebook and Twitter social media pages at www.facebook.com/ClarendonSquareShoppingCentre and www.twitter.com/CSHydeshopping.
One participant who endures the most extreme revamp will be chosen to have the last laugh, which will be a real makeover package – worth £150 – from Clarendon Square and gift vouchers from the likes of Bonmarché, Sally’s Hair & Beauty and more.
Paula Wood, centre manager at Clarendon Square, said: “We’re doing something a little unconventional this year for Mother’s Day. It’s sometimes difficult to come up with heartfelt gift ideas, but a ‘mini-me’ makeover is something mums will never forget.
“It’s just a fun, tongue-in-cheek activity and if anything, it will be an enjoyable bonding experience for mothers and their children. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing looks of surprise when each big reveal happens. It’ll certainly be a memory that families will remember for many Mother’s Days to come.”
