Clarendon Square shoppers receive colourful Mother’s Day makeovers

Local mums received an all-new look from their children

Children who visited Clarendon Square over the weekend spent some quality bonding time with their mums by treating them to a different kind of makeover at a pop-up salon on the centre’s mall.

Last Saturday, more than 50 itsy bitsy beauticians had a brilliant time pampering their mums by giving them shiny, painted nails and full-face makeovers just in time for Mother’s Day. The good-humoured ladies who took part were then able to enter a competition for a chance to win a £150 fashion and beauty package from the shopping centre, as well as vouchers from retailers including Bonmarché and Sally’s Hair & Beauty.

Clarendon Square’s manager, Paula Wood, praised the mums for embracing the activity. She said: “I take my hat off to all the mums who were up for a giggle and let their children give them a transformation to remember.

“Each child showed their loved one a lot of care and attention and many of the results were quite impressive,” said Paula. “There were a few that received quite striking looks and had to use the makeup wipes before leaving, but it was all in good fun. I hope everyone enjoyed the activity and had a lovely Mother’s Day.”
