‘Dino-mite’ event at Clarendon Square this half-term

2nd April 2019

Shoppers are invited for a jurassic lark around Clarendon Square Shopping Centre – in partnership with Hyde Town Team – where history is coming alive this Easter half-term at a free event, complete with animatronic dinosaurs, a special mission and mammoth amounts of fun.

For one day only on Saturday 13 April from 11am until 3pm, pint-sized paleontologists are invited to jump in Clarendon Square’s jungle jeep for an action-packed ride back to prehistoric times. Visitors will meet some colossal creatures that they can engage and interact with on the mall.

Event-goers will also have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and delve into the dino digging pit to search for fossils from thousands of years ago. The whole family will have additional craft activities to take part in and have a ‘roar-some’ time.

“We wanted to offer an alternative to traditional Easter events, and we felt that a dinosaur escapade was very fitting. It offers an unforgettable experience, plus there’s the egg hunt element which incorporates learning so it’s a win-win in our eyes,” Sophie Stephenson, centre manager at Clarendon Square Shopping Centre, said.

“We are particularly excited to see how our young visitors take to the dinosaurs, which are very friendly and will be fed beforehand,” she continued. “It’s set to be a very entertaining event and we hope our visitors really enjoy themselves at Clarendon Square.”
